The Victorian Indigenous Art Awards is one of the richest Indigenous art award program in the country.24 artworks were shortlisted across six categories, with a total prize pool of $48,000.Shortlisted works range from oil on canvas to basket weaving, photography, installations and textiles.Award categories includeÂ
$25,000 Deadly Art Award which cinsists of $20,000 cash and $5000 professional development support.
Highly commended award, $3000 cash and $2000 professional development support.
$5000 Koorie Heritage Trust Acquisition Award which is open to 2 and 3 dimensional and multimedia works.
$5000 CAL award for works on paper, highly commended $1500
$5000 CAL award for 3D works, highly commended $1500
