Work must be linocut print.Maximum 1 entry per artist. Works not to exceed 250cm x 250cm.
Details:
The main purpose of this award is to encourage the making and appreciation of lino cut prints. The major acquisitive prize is either a return airfare to Amsterdam plus 10 days accommodation valued at $10,000 plus $1000 in spending money OR a monetary prize of $8000.Up to $5000 is also available for purchasing of works for the Silk Cut Foundation Collection.
Up to four acquisitive Silk Cut Student Awards will be presented. The winners will each receive a Silk Cut Award Trophy and Certificate. The First place winners school will receive $2500 for their art department.
As of 2008 this award will be offered annually instead of biennially.
