City of Belmont Annual Art Awards and Exhibition

Prizes and awards include:

The first open acquisitive prize is $4000.
The Perth Airport acquisitive prize for aboriginal art is $3000
Perth Airport Non acquisitive, Emerging Aboriginal Artist $2000
Aspects of Belmont Non acquisitive $1,000
There are also Highly Commended, Local Resident and People's Choice awards.
There are also two new prizes for young artists:

Each exhibition is held biannually in alternate years with the City of Stirling Photographic Awards.

Cossack Art Award

The Cossack Art Award is recognised as the most geographically isolated acquisitive art award in the world.
All prize categories are acquisitive except for the People's Choice award.

Darebin - Latrobe Acquistive Art Prize
Artists are invited to submit works for pre-selection. Selected finalists will be invited to exhibit their work and go in the running to win awards.  There are two awards, the  $10,000 best work in show which is acquired for the La Trobe University Art Collection and the non-acquisitive $3000 best work by an emerging artist.There is also a $500 peoples choice award. Work to be contemporary in terms of theme or media.

Deniliquin Rotary Easter Art Exhibition

There are three acquisitive prizes of $1500 each for open medium and open concept. Sectional prizes include Oil or Acrylic, Watercolour, Pastel, Other Medium, Modern Non Traditional, Small painting, Sculpture/Ceramics/Woodcraft. Sectional prizes have prize money of $500 for each section. Special Prizes include Best Exhibit in show $500, Best Local Artist 1st prize $300 second prize $200 third prize $100. Ergon Energy Art Awards
The acquisitive Ergon Energy Art Award for a ceramic art form is $10,000.
Also includes the acquisitive Charles Ware Award for Young Artists (aged between 18 and 26 years) for a work on paper valued at $5000.
Winning works become part of the Rockhampton Art Gallery collection.
 Works go through a preselection process and successful finalists will be notified by October 22nd.

Nillumbik Art Award

This prize offers a non-acquisitive prize of $5000 for a work of excellence in any media by a local artist.  Two commendations and a People's Choice Award of $500 each will also be awarded. Works may be of any subject in any medium.

Geelong acquisitive Print Awards
Formerly known as the Geelong Print Prize. This biennial prize has a major acquisitive prize of $3,000. $5,000 worth of additional acquisitions will also be made. Works go through a pre-selection process. Notification of selection is August 1st. Works may be created using any printmaking process except photographic. Artists books are accepted.
