Sunshine Coast Art Prize

The Sunshine Coast Art Prize 2018 is a national contemporary two-dimensional (2D) award presented by the Sunshine Coast Council. The acquisitive Art Prize awards the national winner with $25,000 cash presented by Sunshine Coast Council.

A non-acquisitive Highly Commended Prize of $5,000 cash, sponsored by the De Deyne family, will also be announced at the official Art Prize exhibition opening.

A non-acquisitive People’s Choice prize of $2,500 cash, sponsored by Caloundra Chamber of Commerce, will be awarded to the artist receiving the most votes during the exhibition.

Finalists will also be eligible for the Sunshine Coast Art Prize Residency, a two week artist residency and workshop program at Montville Country Cabins supported by the Caloundra Regional Gallery.

Town of Mosman Park Art Awards
The first acquisitive open prize is $4000.
The second acquisitive open prize is $2000.
The third non-acquisitive prize is $750 and there is also a highly commended prize of $500.
The first youth encouragement award is $300.
Open photography prize is $1000.
Youth encouragement for photography is $250.
The theme for 2011 is Mosman Park: Between River and Sea.

Townsville Ceramics Competition

The acquisitive Townsville City Council Ward is $3000, there is an Open acquisitive award of $1200, an acquisitive technology award of $1000, acquisitive Loloma Jewellers award of  $750, Open non-acquisitive Rainford award of $500, Open acquisitiven Fourex award of $300, acquisitive Paluma pottery award of $250, Clayworks Australia voucher valued at $150, and  north regional gas award $100.

Tuggeranong Rotary Youth Art Award

The overall major acquisitive prize is $2000. 
Non acquisitive prizes include a $500 student award,
Young photographer award $250 membership and course.
Aarwunn Gallery  prize of $250 and a $400 encouragement award. There are no size limits on work provided they weigh under 20kg. Works may be in any medium.

Alice Prize, The

Open to all Australian artists working in any medium.
The major acquisitive prize is $25,000 plus a four week residency in Alice Springs which includes accommodation and airfares.The non acquisitive Tammy Kinglsey Peoples' Choice award is $1000.

New Social Commentary FJ Foundation Aquisitive Prize

The theme for the 2008 award is New Social Commentary and artists must enter work which comments on the state of Australian society. All works entered will go through a pre-selection process for final exhibition and judging.Artwork entered in the Award is eligible for one acquisitive prize of $15,000 provided by the F.J. Foundation.

This award is not being held in 2010.
